About Dr. Estrada's Services

Dr. Estrada specializes in strengths-based psychological evaluations with a strong commitment to serving neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and gender diverse clients. She takes a holistic approach in understanding each person’s individual strengths, the barriers they face, and how these factors impact their daily lives. Her goal is to ensure the evaluation process affirms each client's distinct experiences, and she recognizes the importance of celebrating uniqueness in a world largely influenced by neurotypical norms.

Evaluation Expertise

With advanced training and extensive experience in assessing clients across every stage of life, Dr. Estrada provides both comprehensive psychological evaluations and targeted adult evaluations for autism and ADHD. Her expertise extends to identifying neurodivergence in “high masking” individuals, including those who have learned to camouflage their traits to navigate neurotypical environments and may have been overlooked by traditional diagnostic tools. This often includes females, those assigned female at birth (AFAB), gender diverse folks, and adults who are seeking a diagnosis and understanding of their processing styles later in life. Her diagnostic expertise includes:

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Executive functioning challenges

  • Learning differences, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia

  • Twice exceptional learners

  • Giftedness

  • Sensory differences

  • Asynchronous development patterns, including those with “spiky” profiles

  • Anxiety, OCD, and depression

The Evaluation Experience

Because psychological evaluations are often the first step in a person's mental health journey, Dr. Estrada prioritizes a collaborative and transparent approach. The evaluation process is designed to clarify how each person processes information and translate those insights into practical next steps. To achieve this, recommendations are anchored in each person’s specific needs rather than solely based on a diagnosis or neurotype. Every client receives a customized action plan designed to assist with self-advocacy (such as academic/workplace accommodations) alongside referrals to trusted service providers.
